Max Annis and wife Peggy moved to Lakeway in 1996 after living in Houston for over forty years. They attended the Memorial congregation where Max was a deacon in charge of the adult bible school and Peggy a bible school teacher. Max worked for Exxon and was a Senior Technical Advisor at retirement in 1992 and later did engineering consulting work for several years after retirement. Peggy was an elementary school teacher for a number of years after receiving her degree from Abilene Christian and before beginning a family. They have two children and two grandchildren.
