Sunday Bible Classes:
Sunday morning during the sermon the pre-school children have an opportunity to participate in a lesson designed especially for them. Sunday evening there is a class for them also while the adults have their study.
About Chris and Rachel Bennett:
Chris and Rachel Bennett work with our youth ministry. Chris grew up in Albany, Oregon and became a Christian when he was 18. Rachel was blessed to grow up in the church, and have a family of believers to help shape who she is; she was baptized at 18 as well.
In 2005, they both went to Lubbock for the Adventures in Missions program, where they met. Chris spent fourteen months in Leon, Guanajuato Mexico for his field time. They were married in July of 2007.
Chris and Rachel have a one-year old son, Micaiah, who is becoming more active every day! He loves to play with boxes, paper, and anything else that is not a toy!
Chris and Rachel are both passionate about helping our young people to follow Jesus. They desire for each and every one to develop a relationship with him, and to fully experience the joy that is found in God. They both are passionate about ministries helping the poor and oppressed because Jesus was passionate about these things. They both feel so blessed to be a part of the family at Lake Travis, and are eager to see the growth that God has in store.
