Lately my son has been riding home with me from Wednesday night Bible study. With our work schedule and such, my wife and I take separate cars to work and then to Bible study. Cade and I have started listening to more music together and last night was no exception. I plugged in my iPhone and started playing some songs and ran across a song by John Legend titled “All of Me”. Here are a few of the lyrics:

I cannot profess to personally know Mr. Legend or any of his song writers but take a look at these words and see if you cannot see a relationship with our Lord and Savior in them. I am going to go out on a limb and say John Legend isn’t singing about his relationship with Christ but when I heard some of the words to the song it made me think of how we should love our Lord and definitely how he loves us. He loves ALL of us even when we fall short of his expectations, short of the worlds expectations, and even short of our own expectations for ourselves. When we give all of ourselves to Him we realize He gives all of Himself to us every single day. He should be our end and our beginning for everything from the choices we make, to the way we interact, how we look at life, and anything in between these! Let me challenge you to get yourself closer to our Lord and Savior each day. When we are studying His Word and trying to apply it to our lives and live a life which would be honoring Him, we will reach heights which we never imagined. He loves all of me and I should love all of Him!
