Monday Mornings

Have you every woken up on Monday morning and thought, “I hate Monday mornings!” or “What happened to my weekend?”? I know you have and I have too. As Americans, we typically enjoy 5 day work weeks with 2 days off which we call our weekends. This is the time where we get to “relax” and spend some time enjoying what we like to do. Things such as traveling, visiting, fishing, hunting, biking, hiking, running, sleeping, watching TV, watching football, and the list could go on and on. We are not usually able to enjoy doing these things as often through the week so when our weekend is over, we tend to want it to hurry up and come back.

Let me encourage you to not look at Monday’s in the same way ever again. Take a look at this verse I ran across this weekend while preparing for our Men’s Training Class on Sunday: Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, (Colossians 3:23 – NIV). When we approach our work week with this attitude, what a DIFFERENCE it can make! We can approach each and every task, day, chore, job, etc… with this same attitude. When we do this, Monday mornings no longer feel like a burden but an OPPORTUNITY! We have an opportunity to spread the Good News of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through our actions and speech. What an awesome opportunity! This should have us looking forward to each and every day including Monday mornings. Now go out and make it a point to do some good in the world today and MAKE A POSITIVE DIFFERENCE in someones life!
