Contagious Christian

When I travel for my secular job, I come in contact and interact with all kinds of people. Some of these people have a deep personal relationship with the Father but most do not.  They seem to have a limited view of who God really is and most don’t have a personal relationship with Him at all.

I sometimes see pain and suffering!  A hopelessness in the eyes of hurting souls. Maybe one, two, three or more drinks will help for now.  Other times, I see people yearning for an answer that will help to make sense out of this life here on earth.

I remember one time when flying to Northwest Arkansas, a young lady sat next to me and we struck up a conversation.  She told me about her family.  She was married and had one daughter.  On the surface it seemed as though everything was going well, but when our conversation went deeper, I found out the pain she was suffering.

She didn’t feel as though her husband loved her anymore.  She was searching for meaning in her life.  During our conversation, we talked about hope, faith and the love that Jesus has for her and her family.  While the tears began to flow, I took the opportunity to pray with her and to show her no matter what, Jesus loved her.

As Christians, Jesus calls us to come in contact with people.  We are to spread His good news and His love for all people.  He wants us to be intentional and purposeful as we spread the news of a Savior who cares.

When we strive to live under the control of Christ, people will take notice.  They will take notice of how we live our lives and will ask you to explain why you do what you do.  I encourage everyone reading this to be intentionally contagious as you spread the good news that Jesus is Lord of Lords, King of Kings!!
