When you look around in the city of Austin, we see our public works department fully engaged with our streets, bridges, right-of-ways, sidewalks, guardrails, and highway infrastructure. It looks like to me that we are trying to play catch up with the growth we are now experiencing.
Because of the explosive growth coupled with the construction, we now have “bottle-neck” traffic all throughout the city. Economists have tried for years to slow the growth, but couldn’t stop it no matter what they attempted to do.
The Bible tells us, “For the word of God is alive and active, Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).
The word of God will never be stifled. Not by man or woman. Not by anything physical or spiritual. God’s word is reliable, constant, everlasting, inexhaustible, infallible, and sure. The word of God will continue to grow as it has always done and will explode into the hearts and souls of men everywhere.
The word active shows that God’s word will not return void and will do what it’s intended to do. His words that we find in the pages of the Bible are 100 percent trustworthy and we can completely rely on them.
People have tried to slow down (bottle neck) or stop others from spreading God’s word, but his word will penetrate deep into the hearts of men everywhere no matter what obstacles encountered. Men are and will continue to be fully engaged with the duty of spreading his word.
